Happy Women's Day

Yesterday, we celebrated all the inspiring women in the world! 💐
In EFAD, we want to take this day as an opportunity to thank and honour all fierce, intelligent, powerful women of all ages and races that have devoted their lives to our profession and science, along with their roles as students, workers, mums, caretakers etc.

World Obesity Day - March 4th 2023

World Obesity Day Europe 2023 was celebrated on Saturday, March 4 and it brought together healthcare, patient and political communities, to raise awareness of obesity and the many other diseases which it impacts.
EFAD would like to highlight that:
Healthcare professionals, working in a multidisciplinary team, can make a difference by becoming more knowledgeable about obesity and addressing the concerns of people living with obesity
Reducing obesity stigma is a vital step to successful treatment.

These 2 extremely important messages are highly addressed in the newly published position statements on Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) in the management of overweight and obesity in children, adolescents and adults, which are published today in Obesity Facts, the European Journal of Obesity, a joint collaboration of EFAD and EASO.
