Spotlight: ESDN Food Service
We are a group of dietitians and nutritionists across Europe and Israel working and/or teaching in the area of Food Service. Currently, colleagues from Austria, Israel, Portugal, Sweden and Turkey are members.
Food Service refers to many issues like food safety, balanced meals, health promotion and disease prevention. Furthermore, dietitians have an important contribution and influence on food service including social, cultural, economic, environmental and marketing considerations as well. This is challenging and exchanging our experiences with each other may lead to new findings and improved nutritional care. Our next goal is a survey dealing with the impact of COVID-19 on Food Service in organisations and in medical institutions in Europe and Israel. The questionnaire has received ethical approval, is in the pre-testing phase and will be disseminated later this spring. Findings will be published and discussed within the scope of EFAD Congress. Interested in joining and working in ESDN Food Service? Whenever an EFAD call for ESDN Food Service Committee Membership is open we encourage you to apply. We did - and we enjoy meeting and working on Food Service matters!
