An update on what the committee has been working on:
- The committee met at the beginning of the year to develop the upcoming year's strategic plan.
- In collaboration with ENDietS, Nikos Papaspanos held a webinar on 'Sport Nutrition in special population and conditions', which was a great success.
- The committee collaborated and supported the organisation of the 1st European Students' Symposium 'Diet and Health', giving a presentation about sport nutrition. This event was the first European interdisciplinary event for the student population in the fields of biomedicine and biotechnology, primarily focused on the students studying medicine, nutrition, pharmacology, clinical biochemistry and kinesiology as the key future experts in disease prevention and promotion of the healthy lifestyle. One of the main aims was to promote interdisciplinary co-operation and the importance of interdisciplinary teams in healthcare.
- The committee has been working on 'Position Stand for the role of the Sport Dietitian', which will be released later this year.
- The committee is collaborating with ESDN Oncology to work together on the European Project for Cancer.
- The committee is also currently organising one of the parallel sessions at the upcoming 13th EFAD Conference in Budapest, Hungary.
